Come and learn about the City of Vancouver’s Green Infrastructure Program and tour green infrastructure installations in the Olympic Village on July 21st, from 2 – 4 pm. Networking session to follow immediately after the tour. Location: Craft Beer Market, 85 W 1st Ave, Vancouver, BC V5Y 3K8 at 4:15pm.
The tour will include:
– A tour of 12+ year old green infrastructure in the Olympic Village and new green infrastructure built in the past few years;
– Findings from the City’s green infrastructure monitoring program; and
– Discussion of how Vancouver is adapting to climate change impacts of higher sea level, wetter winters, and hotter drier summers.
The tour will start at 2:00p at the Creekside Community Centre. Meet at the north entrance (entrance facing False Creek). Creekside Community Centre is a short walk from the Main Street-Science World Skytrain station or a 1 km walk from the Olympic Village Skytrain Station. There is also pay public parking under the community centre.
