Legislation Update
This presentation will cover the new federal and BC project fast-tracking frameworks, including the federal Building Canada Act, BC’s Infrastructure Projects Act, and the Renewable Energy Projects (Streamlined Permitting) Act. The presentation will provide a high-level overview of how these statutes aim to accelerate major infrastructure and clean-energy development, and will address some of the concerns that are engaged and the balance between speed and oversight.
