The EMA of BC is please to offer a MEMBERS ONLY tour of the Heidelberg Cement plant on the afternoon of Thursday May 30, 2024. There are only 11 spaces available, so please make sure to register quickly to ensure your spot (members: first-come, first served)! Details will be sent to registrants ahead of the facility tour. Note: this tour is for registered attendees only, walk-ins will not be accommodated due to capacity restrictions.
Heidelberg Materials operates one of two portland cement manufacturing plants in British Columbia. The plant tour will touch on all aspects of the manufacturing process including raw material preparation, pyro-processing, and finish grinding. Particular emphasis will be given to the many sustainability initiatives that Heidelberg Materials is implementing at the Delta Plant.

If we have multiple registrants from the same organization, you may be asked to reduce your registration numbers if the tour is sold out. Tour attendees will need to bring safety boots or very sturdy shoes like hiking boots. Heidelberg can supply hard hats, gloves, safety glasses, and hi-visibility vests.
