    2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Tuesday March 25th, 2014 at BCIT Downtown Campus.

Join the Environmental Managers Association of BC for a speaker session on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 from 2:30-6:00 pm.  Guest speakers will present on The Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) Program. SR&ED is a federal tax incentive program, administered by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), that encourages Canadian businesses of all sizes, and in all sectors to conduct research and development (R&D) in Canada. It is the largest single source of federal government support for industrial R&D.

The SR&ED Program gives claimants cash refunds and / or tax credits for their expenditures on eligible R&D work done in Canada.  Many people in the Environmental management sector participate in this program.  This session is for you if you are interested in learning about how this program is used in the environment industry, would like an update on the program or would like to hear about some projects maybe similar to your own that have taken advantage of the program.
