Water Act Changes

Thursday April 17th, 2014 at BCIT Downtown Campus in Room 280.

Registration begins at 2:30pm, Speakers start at 3pm, Mixer from 5-6pm

Speakers Speakers will discuss regulatory changes within the environmental legislation, with a key focus on water. With over 27,000 kilometers of coastline and countless lakes, rivers, and streams, BC’s water resources are of crucial importance. These resources are protected and governed by a slew of regulations which are constantly being updated and changed. The April Environmental Managers Association of BC speaker session will focus on the topic of water, and present to you some of the recent and upcoming changes to environmental legislation. The new Water Sustainability Act, Bill C-38/Fisheries Act, the Navigable Waters Act and Stormwater Management will all be discussed. Water is all around us, so these changes and updates are sure to affect aspects of each of your organizations. Come join us to learn more and explore these changes with others in the industry.
